The Top 5 2024 Wedding Trends Wedding Planners Love!

With each new year comes new wedding trends and 2024 is no different. Of all the trends we are seeing in 2024, we picked our top five. Check out this list of fun ideas for your wedding day that will make it a unique, memorable, event.

1. Monochromatic Florals

It’s no surprise that this floral wedding trend is making our list being that we have a sister floral company, Uniquely Set Floral Design. It’s a unique way to vary your wedding bouquets and looks especially great with bright, bold colors at the forefront.  Turns out having the same color flower in varying shades is stunning, or the same shade but different single style bloom bouquets makes a statement that guests will swoon over.

2. Seated Wedding Parties

There’s nothing wrong with having 10 of your closest friends standing next to you at the altar, but brides have opted for something different these days. While wedding parties will always be a wedding tradition, we are seeing the wedding trend shift to having them seated during the ceremony versus having them standing beside you.  We love this because it puts the full focus where it matters most, the couple! Plus, your wedding party will be more comfortable and get a much better view of you saying “I Do.”

3. Private Moments

Whether it’s saying your wedding vows in private, enjoying dinner alone as a newly married couple or seeing each other prior to the first look, this year more time spent with your significant other prior to the ceremony and reception is a priority. There’s nothing you want more on your wedding day than to see and be with your person. It helps calm your nerves, and it’s why you are there in the first place! We are excited to help couples construct their timelines to see as much as they want of each other on their big day.

4. Candid Photos and Wedding Content

Candid photos are in right now and whether it’s with traditional photography, film photography or even guests capturing special moments, we imagine this trend will continue in a variety of ways. We’ve already seen the polaroid camera and now disposable cameras being utilized in fun ways, whether it be as the sign-in or at guests tables, but a new wedding vendor has popped up recently. Wedding content creators capture short video snippets and non-professional photos of everything happening behind the scenes. Portraits are still a necessity, in our opinion, but it is a new perspective of reliving your wedding day. They will also provide reels either already prepared for social media, or raw footage that you can clip together yourself. Soon, your wedding will be trending!

5. Interactive Entertainment/Favors

Throughout our years as planners, we have seen favors evolve. From koozies to late night snacks, there are endless options. Our recent favorites are favors that bring an element of entertainment or interaction, which is a huge trend going in 2024. The perfect example of this is a live painter or sketch artist. Not only does is it fun for your guests to see the artist in action, it doubles as a favor when they get to take home a painting or sketch of themselves! It seems 2024 couples are even taking it up a notch with permanent favors… by that we mean permanent jewelry, piercings or tattoos. That’s something your guests won’t forget!

6. All-Inclusive Floral or Decor Services

This trend may be our favorite… Bride’s are exchanging the countless hours spent on DIYing, organizing and hauling their wedding decor for letting their experienced, professional vendors handle it. By letting your florist or rental company take over the decor, it’s less stressful, it allows for more flexibility on your day-of timeline, and it’s less to deal with at the end of the night. Let this be your sign to let your vendors take care of you and your wedding day, so that you can enjoy it to your fullest!

Along with our top five wedding trends, textured cakes, retro-inspired design themes, and short dresses seem to be on the horizon, and as always, we are ready to take on whatever else comes our way to make our couple’s dreams come true, one trend at a time!
